Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UKETA Learning website, courses, and related services (together, the "Platform"), operated by Uketa Learning ("UKETA", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@uketalearning.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
Accounts are personal to the individual (or organization, for corporate/team accounts) who registered them and may not be sold, transferred, or shared except where a corporate/team plan explicitly permits multiple authorized users.
2. Courses, Content, and Access
UKETA Learning provides online courses covering career growth, business, leadership, and personal development, delivered as video lessons, quizzes, downloadable resources, and, where applicable, certificates of completion accredited by Ibanda University.
Once you successfully purchase or are enrolled in a course, you receive lifetime access to that course's content for personal, non-commercial, educational use, subject to these Terms and to the Platform remaining operational. Course content, curriculum, and instructors may be updated, expanded, or revised over time; such updates do not reduce your existing access.
We reserve the right to remove or restrict access to a course in cases of policy violation, legal requirement, instructor withdrawal, or discontinuation of a course, and will make reasonable efforts to notify affected learners and offer a fair remedy (such as a substitute course or partial refund) where appropriate.
3. Payments and Pricing
Course prices are displayed in Ugandan Shillings (UShs) at the time of purchase. Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment partner, Pesapal, via Mobile Money or debit/credit card. UKETA Learning does not store your full card or mobile money account details.
All fees are due in full at checkout unless a specific payment arrangement has been agreed in writing (for example, for corporate or bulk enrollments). Prices may change at any time for future purchases; changes do not affect courses you have already purchased.
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact info@uketalearning.com with your order details and the reason for your request. We aim to respond to all refund requests promptly and fairly.
4. Gifting and Coupons
Courses purchased as gifts are non-refundable to the purchaser once accepted by the recipient, unless otherwise agreed. Coupons, discount codes, and promotional pricing are subject to their own stated terms (such as expiry dates and eligible courses) and may not be combined unless explicitly stated.
5. Acceptable Use
When using the Platform, you agree not to:
• Share, resell, sublicense, or redistribute course content, videos, or downloadable materials without our written permission;
• Attempt to circumvent payment, enrollment, or access controls;
• Use another person's account or misrepresent your identity;
• Upload or transmit unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or infringing content through any submission, review, or messaging feature;
• Interfere with the security, availability, or normal operation of the Platform, including through scraping, reverse engineering, or introducing malicious code;
• Use the Platform for any purpose that violates applicable Ugandan or international law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our reasonable discretion, and may pursue any remedies available to us at law.
6. Intellectual Property
All course content, videos, text, graphics, logos, the UKETA Learning name and brand, and the Platform's software and design are owned by UKETA Learning or its instructors/licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Enrolling in a course grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view that content for your own personal learning, not a transfer of ownership.
7. Certificates
On completing all required lessons and assessments in a course, you will receive a certificate accredited by Ibanda University, bearing a unique, publicly verifiable Credential ID. Certificates reflect completion of the associated course content and assessments as administered on the Platform; they are issued in the name registered on your account at the time of completion. Falsifying, altering, or misrepresenting a certificate is strictly prohibited and may result in certificate revocation and account termination.
8. Coaches and Instructors
Individuals approved to teach on UKETA Learning ("Coaches" or "Instructors") are independent contributors responsible for the accuracy and quality of their own course content, subject to our review and quality standards. Instructors earn a share of revenue from enrollments in their courses, as tracked on their instructor dashboard and set out in their individual instructor agreement. UKETA Learning reserves the right to review, edit, unpublish, or remove course content that does not meet our quality, accuracy, or community standards.
9. Affiliates and Partners
Our affiliate program allows approved participants to earn a commission for referrals that result in a qualifying signup or purchase, tracked via a unique referral link or code. Commission rates, payout schedules, and eligibility rules are set out separately for affiliates and may be updated from time to time with reasonable notice. Our broader Partners program (corporate training, institutional partnerships, and content collaboration) is governed by the specific agreement entered into with each partner organization, in addition to these Terms.
10. Reviews and User Content
If you submit a review, testimonial, comment, or other content to the Platform, you grant UKETA Learning a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform. You are solely responsible for content you submit and confirm it is truthful and does not infringe any third party's rights.
11. Availability and Changes to the Platform
We work to keep the Platform available and performing well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Platform at any time, and may update these Terms periodically; material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Platform and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive for accuracy and quality in every course, we do not guarantee specific outcomes, employment results, or income from completing a course. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UKETA Learning is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the course or service giving rise to the claim.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Platform and request account closure at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, engaging in fraudulent activity, or as required by law. Termination does not entitle you to a refund for courses already accessed, except where required by our refund policy or applicable law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation with our support team before pursuing any other remedy.
15. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
